Charles Nicholas Lienard, 80, of McDonald died Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at his home.
He was born October 20, 1941 in Canonsburg; the son of the late Alphonse and Alice (Tournay) Lienard.
Nick retired after a full career at Equitable Gas on June 1, 2004 after 34 years of service.
He loved being in the outdoors and hunting season was a favorite. He was an avid Steelers fan and watched the NFL draft like it was a holiday! He will be missed by many friends and family. He never met a stranger that he didn’t get their life story and made a new friend along the way.
He was a life member of the McDonald Volunteer Fire Department, a member of Oakdale Lodge #669 F. & A.M. and a life member of the McDonald Sportsmen Association.
On July 30, 1966 he married Rose Lesjak, who died October 7, 1993.
Surviving are a daughter, Sherilyn N. (Jamie Wyke) Lienard of McDonald; two sisters, Alice (Tim) Thomassy and Marilyn (Gary) Gilbert, both of McDonald; and his companion, Joan.
Friends will be received from 12 to 3 and from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Nation Funeral Home, Inc., 220 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald where services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 11, 2022 with Rev. David Perry, pastor of Venice Presbyterian Church officiating, assisted by Rev. Gary Chorpenning. On Sunday evening a Fireman’s service will be held at 7:00 pm and a Masonic Service will be held at 7:30 pm. Memorial contributions are suggested to the McDonald Volunteer Fire Department.
