Helen R. Sweetie

Helen R. Sweetie, age 89, of McDonald, passed on May 4, 2022.

She was born on February 2, 1933 in Studa, PA; a daughter of Jules and Clovissa “Clovis” Capelle Delahaut.

Mrs. Sweetie was a Housekeeping Supervisor at St. Clair Hospital for over 30 years; where she retired in 1995.

Helen was a 40 year breast cancer survivor. She loved crafts, reading, working on puzzles and playing Yahtzee.

Surviving are three children, James L. (Gayle) Sweetie of Brookville FL, Estella (late Dennis) Catrain of Oakdale, and Roberta (Bobby) L. Meader of Troy, AL; two brothers, Joe Delahaut of Myrtle Beach SC, Jules Delahaut of Warminster, PA; a sister Lynn Troy of Danbury CT; two grandchildren, Dennis Catrain Jr. and Brandy Long; two great grandchildren Hailey Long and Logan Moore.

Deceased are two brothers, Herman and Donald Delhaut, and a sister, Judy Lander and a grandson John (Jay) Cunningham.

Family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 11-1Pm, the time of service, at Nation Funeral Home Inc. 220 E. Lincoln Ave McDonald, PA. 15057. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn and Gardens, McMurray, PA.   Memorial contributions are suggested to National Breast Cancer Foundation, Po Box 676910 Dallas, TX 75267.
